Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary Uganda Birding Safari is fantastic on safari with Real Great Apes Safari ltd

It’s located outside the park in magomba swamp. It’s famous for wildlife such as Chimpanzees, red Colobus, Black and white Colobus, red tailed money, Bushbuck as well as Mongoose. It has about 138 bird species and these can be seen during the nature walks. The sanctuary was set up to preserve the exclusive environmental features along with the wetland. This sanctuary is located just out side the park found in Magombe swamp. This Wetland Sanctuary is known for a wide collection of wildlife that includes Primates, like Chimpanzees, Black and White Colobus, red Colobus and other Mammals which include the Bushbuck, sitatunga, Otter and Mongoose. The Wetland Sanctuary is also a home to 138 bird species. These may be seen in the course of guided walks from board walk trail and viewing platforms.

This Wetland Sanctuary is a community run opening aimed at conserving an exclusive biodiversity and environmental values of the Wetland.
